Grammy-nominated music educator and Apple Distinguished Educator, Jamie Knight is a retired Huntington Beach Union High School District classroom teacher who served as a School Library Media Specialist and then a music teacher from 2000-2018. 

Jamie is President of the  Board of Directors for The Educational Enrichment Foundation for the Arts (EEFA) and was a board member with
The Association for Popular Music Education (APME.) 

Jamie is a professional musician with an MLIS degree from SJSU, a CTE Credential, and a Certificate from UCLA in Electronic Music. 

His music program has won the prestigious California Golden Bell Award, was an Apple Distinguished Program, and was also selected as an AME Model School by the CA Department of Education.

Jamie is still active in education, serving as The President of the EEFA Foundation.

Currently, Jamie is enjoying retirement but is still very involved in music education. He was an educational consultant for Alan Parson’s 
Art and Science of Sound and regularly consults with educators looking to bring Popular Music programs into their school music programs.
